Eastdene family robbed at gunpoint

Armed robbers targeted an Eastdene residence on Wednesday morning, holding the family at gunpoint.

It was reliably learnt that one of the victims woke up at 03:00 after hearing a noise in his house. The man then went to investigate and walked in on three suspects inside the house.

One of the suspects allegedly pointed a firearm at him and asked very specifically about the whereabouts of the other family members.

The victim was forced to lead the suspects to his relatives’ rooms.

He was then tied up with shoelaces while his relatives were awoken and brought from their rooms.

The suspects then searched the house, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash and personal items, including watches and cellphones.
