Storm expected later today, thunderstorm tomorrow

Weather forecasts expect an imminent storm to hit Middelburg.

Weather.com predicts that a storm is set to head toward Middelburg at around 11:45 today.

This is in line with predictions from the South African Weather Service (SAWS), which indicates Middelburg in the yellow warning range, 60 minutes from a potential storm.

Rain is expected to continue throughout the day, with the SAWS indicating 10mm of expected rainfall.

Conflicting Reports

AccuWeather, however, offers a differing prediction, with only 0.9mm of expected rainfall.

AccuWeather also believes thunderstorms are to hit Middelburg tomorrow night.

Residents measured between 12mm to 16mm of rainfall over a 24-hour period from 06:00 yesterday to today.

Temperatures are expected to rise as the week goes on, increasing from maximums in the low twenties to the high twenties by Saturday.
