A man accused of stealing taxi parts, was assaulted by a group of men.

A man was severely assaulted in a street in Mhluzi after he was accused of stealing parts from taxis.

Shocked residents of Mthunzi Street, in Extension 8 ,Mhluzi, looked on as a man was beaten in the street.

The man was beaten and kicked.

According to one of the eyewitnesses, the man was accused of stealing parts from taxis.

The eyewitness said a group of men kicked him and hit him with sticks. When he tried to escape into a nearby property, they caught him, dragged him back to the street by his feet and assaulted him further.
