2 People killed in aircraft crash at Middelburg Airfield
The Middelburg Aero Club has also requested that the Observer not post photos of the wreckage until the family/families have been notified.

Two people tragically died in an aircraft accident that took place at the Middelburg Airfield this afternoon.
Involving only one plane, the crash is believed to have taken place between 15:00-15:30 today.
The exact cause of the accident is unknown, with investigations still to take place.
The plane was found between the Middelburg Aero Club’s runway and outer fencing.
Members of the Aero Club and the proper authorities are currently at the scene.
The Middelburg Observer is aware of the identifies of those involved, but will not release that information yet out of respect to the family/families of the victims.
