Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution on the roads, following two separate accidents that occurred in quick succession this morning.

• The first incident occurred at about 07:30 on the N4, about 30km from Middelburg towards Mbombela.

It involved a mini bus that overturned; it is not clear what led to the incident.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported; however, the crash led to traffic congestion as a lane was closed to clear the scene.

• The second accident happened at about 07:40 on the old Bethal road near SG Coal.

It is alleged that a bakkie collided with another vehicle, and the bakkie was seriously damaged.

No serious injuries were reported in the incident.
