A truck overturned at Kranspoort Pass on the N11 today, on the left lane.

In a video circulated on the Traffic Alert group, smoke can be seen coming from the vehicle. It is unconfirmed as to what the truck was carrying at this stage.

The cause of the accident is currently unknown, and it has not yet been confirmed whether there are any injuries.

Emergency services are on the scene attending to the incident.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution when travelling through the area as the scene is being cleared.

• There was another accident reported on New Year’s Day involving a truck carrying acid, which led to the road being completely closed off after an acid spill.
