As expected, the first day was not without a few tears from the school’s youngest scholars, but these were quickly balanced by smiles and laughter. Most learners were thrilled to finally be in Grade One and proudly wear their school uniforms for the very first time.

Teachers and the school principal were kept busy throughout the morning, assigning learners to their new classes. Some children were reluctant to part ways with their Grade R friends, wishing they could still share a desk with a familiar face. Despite the challenges, the atmosphere remained positive and full of promise for the year ahead.
