MMC 5-in-1 brought the heat to Middelburg streets

The streets of Middelburg came alive on Saturday, 31 January, as runners took on the MMC 5-in-1 road race, hosted by the Middelburg Marathon Club at Hoërskool Kanonkop.

From short-distance runners to seasoned endurance athletes, participants pushed through routes ranging from 4.9km to the full 42.2km.
The event delivered strong performances, first-time half-marathon and marathon finishes, and several personal bests, all under the watchful eye of dedicated marshals stationed throughout the course. Marshals, volunteers and organisers worked from the early morning to ensure a safe, well-managed event, earning praise from runners and spectators alike.

Beyond the competition, the MMC 5-in-1 once again highlighted the strength of the local running community – supportive, determined, and united by a shared love for the sport.

Relive the energy, emotion, and unforgettable moments from race day.
