A taxi driver lost control of his vehicle shortly after 06:00 this morning, crashing through the palisade fence of a business in Rand Street, Industrial.

Business owners rushed outside to assist, but the driver was no longer at the scene when they arrived. It remains unclear whether he sustained any injuries in the incident.

A towing service later removed the damaged vehicle from the premises.
