Cyclists hand out Easter eggs – tarmac repaired

Angelique takes fourth place at Rooiwal race

The Easter Bunny stopped by Rooiwal and made many hearts happy.
Lenick Promotions hosted the Easter Bunny races at Rooiwal, where cyclists had the chance to donate Easter eggs.
The project was a huge success. In addition, the tarmac was repaired before the 50km and 95km races started.

Former Middelburger Thokozani Mahlangu came second in the 95km race.
The following racers all finished in the top 10: Ongeziwe Tyapa (02:15:42; at an average speed of 42km/h), Thokozani Mahlangu, Marius Coutaud, Siyanda Gumede, Dane Linzy Appels, Henko Lombard, Rodney Macemoca, Quintin Knoetze, Butiki Ndebele, Hendre Vermaak, and Ruben Kruger.
Sherwon Coetzee won the 50km in 01:19:31, at an average speed of 37.7km/h.

Dayton Brits, Arrie Pienaar, Ruben Pienaar, Logan Loftus Botha, Daniel van den Heever, Jaco Vierbergen, Zian Koekemoer, Joshua Broughton, and Nicholas Norton also finished the 95km race.
Angelique Steyn of Middelburg Cycling Club won fourth place in her age group in the 95km in a time of 03:14:00.
