Vote! or stop complaining

Final registration weekend is around the corner.

This local government election matters more than any before it.
Middelburg has decayed. It is there for everyone to see. Almost nothing remains of the once proud town.
A town with so much potential.

Yes, there is still hope. Even though Middelburg is on the brink of an abyss, it still has a chance to be saved. And it’s the voters who can save it.

An apathetic attitude and that old excuse of ‘oh what good does it do’ will not save us. Residents are once again expecting working street lights, garbage removed, fixed potholes, reliable drinking water, and property transactions that can be quickly completed by an effective administration.

The final voter registration weekend is August 1 and 2. Some wards, including Dennesig, where residents voted in a tent opposite the church for years, have changed.

Make sure you are registered:

Councillors Johan Dyason and Helda de Klerk will be at Saverite in Dennesig this afternoon (July 23) from 15:00 to 17:15 to assist voters.

Election Day is November 4. You can only vote where you are registered, and if you moved recently, you may need to re-register. Visit check.da.org.za or WhatsApp 060 014 0305 to receive help with registration.

Maak seker jy is geregistreer.
