Sekhukhune celebrates learners’ excellence

Learners in Sekhukhune were celebrated for their academic achievements in the 2025 National Senior Certificate matric results.

Three learners from Sekhukhune District proudly represented the region with their outstanding academic achievements in the 2025 National Senior Certificate matric results.

Thabo Mathake, Jason Moime, and Amogelang Gadebe were among the learners who were awarded for their excellent results during the Provincial Matric Results Announcement event at the Ranch Resort Hotel outside Polokwane on Tuesday.

Mathake attended Leolo High School in Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality, Gadebe was a learner at Ngwanamashile Secondary School in Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality and Moime attended Mogale Wa Bagale Technical High School in Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality.

Mathake and Moime aspire to pursue careers in engineering. Gadebe performed exceptionally in business studies.

Sekhukhune District Municipality Executive Mayor Minah Bahula, who also attended the occasion, appreciated the work of all educational stakeholders.

Limpopo obtained an 86.1% pass rate in the 2025 National Senior Certificate examinations, marking a steady progress from the 2024 National Senior Certificate examination results, in which the province scored 85%.
