The child was suspended from the hostel due to bad behaviour about a month earlier.

The email was received on Friday, 12 September, which stated that the principal of Dynamic Primary School should send the children, living in the hostel, home because the hostel will be bombed. In the e-mail he stated, that if allowed back to the hostel: “I promise I will behave”.

The Groblersdal SAPD was phoned, and the school’s safety team immediately started a safety procedure by evacuating the 509 children of Dynamic Primary School to the cricket field.

The school was searched by the SAPD Dog unit and SAPD Bomb squad, but nothing was found.

Later, the child responsible for sending the email admitted to his wrong doing and apologized to the school.
