Video: Mpumalanga Women’s Golf Open 2025 – a showcase of women’s golfing excellence

South Africa’s number one junior, Lisa Coetzer, dominates the field with an incredible 8-under-par performance!

The 2025 Mpumalanga Women’s Golf Open was played in true Highveld style in spring, sunny, hot, with the occasional gust of wind keeping players alert.

The unseasonably warm weather certainly added an extra challenge. Middelburg Country Club presented a course in excellent condition, with greens prepared to test both skill and focus.

A strong field of 64 players competed, including nine golfers ranked within South Africa’s Top 31 amateurs. Among them was South Africa’s number one junior and number two open-ranked amateur, 15-year-old Lisa Coetzer, who displayed incredible composure and consistency over the three days.

Lisa recorded rounds of 67 (-5), 70 (-2) and 71 (-1) for a remarkable 8-under-par total, claiming the Championship Division Open title.
