Local guy for Mr SA
A local model, Jafta Nkosinathi Mathunyane, has been selected as one of 50 contestants for this year's Mr South Africa.
The 21-year-old hopeful needs the public’s votes to remain in the game.
A selection of the 25 finalists due on the 31st of May will determine Mathunyane’s fate in the competition.
“I entered the competition because I strongly believe it is a good platform which can expose me to platforms that can benefit the community. My aspirations are to start a foundation dealing with issues affecting women, the youth and children. It pains to see my peers involved in drugs and crime. Mr SA will empower me to speak up about those problems and create possible solutions that will make a difference to the lives of the people,” says Mathunyane.
Nkos’nathi, as he is better known, was raised by single parent Eva, with seven siblings, Thabo, Percy, Lawrence, Gift, Lefa, Mohau and Collin.
He attended Mvuzo Primary and completed his matric at MD Moetanalo High School. He is currently a third year Horticulture student at Tshwane University of Technology.
To cast votes for Mathunyane, SMS the word MRSA and the number 034 to 47439.
