Warrant out for fraudster
MIDRAND - A warrant of arrest has been issued in Nelspruit for a former Midrand resident who allegedly defrauded numerous people out of large sums of money.

The suspect, who owned an estate agent company in Midrand before moving to Nelspruit, also allegedly defrauded a business partner out of R150 000.
Sergeant Gerald Sedibe, spokesperson for the provincial police, confirmed this week that a warrant had been issued. It followed a criminal investigation by the police into the man for alleged fraud and theft under false pretences.
According to Sedibe, the suspect has not yet been arrested because police are still looking for him. The suspect’s former business partner said the suspect sent invoices for assets he was purchasing for the business but they never materialised.
The business partner became suspicious in July, investigated, and found the cash deposits for the business were being paid directly into the suspect’s private bank account. A further three complainants have laid charges of fraud against the suspect.
