Women network to feel empowered

MIDRAND - Networking and empowering women was the order of the day for a tea party held in Samrand.

The tea party brought about 30 women together to empower them with tips to a successful business, and how to balance being a working professional and a mother and wife.

The party was hosted by Nomsa Ntenteng Mokgohloa of GlamourMom, a South African clothing brand which aims to boost women’s self-confidence through their clothing line.

Mokgohloa said a highlight of the event was a presentation by Forever Products which gave the women insight into how to be financially independent.

She said the women shared ideas and helped to build the each other’s contacts.

Mokgohloa said motivational speaker Wandile Brown gave the women insight on the balancing act of being a mother, wife and full-time worker. “It was quite an interesting and fun topic. Most women left the tea party well informed and educated,” Mokgohloa said.
