Suspects arrested for stealing diesel

RABIE RIDGE - RABIE Ridge police recently arrested two of four men found in possession of stolen diesel. The two suspects were arrested in Phomolong, while the other suspects fled the scene.

The suspects allegedly stole the diesel from a complainant who works with trucks. Rabie Ridge police spokesperson Constable Jacob Nhlongo said, “Police found suspects with drums full of diesel. When questioned by police, the four suspects could not account for the purchase of the diesel. Police are looking for the other two who are on the run.”

Nhlongo added that there is a black market for diesel in Tembisa and criminals take advantage of that.

The two suspects who were arrested will soon appear at Tembisa Magistrates’ Court on a charge of theft and possession of stolen goods.
