Rabie Ridge local jumped by suspects

RABIE RIDGE – Man shot dead at traffic lights in Rabie Ridge on his way to buy liquor.

 


A man was shot dead in his white truck in Rabie Ridge while on his way to stock up on liquor.

Rabie Ridge Police Station spokesperson, Constable Jacob Nhlongo said the man was approaching the traffic lights on the corner of Modderfontein Road and Freedom Drive when a maroon Renault motor vehicle with five men inside, blocked the deceased’s truck.

“Four of the males in the vehicle were armed with pistols,” said Nhlongo.

“They asked the deceased for money, shot him twice in the upper body, fatally, and searched him of his belongings.

“The suspects took money belonging to the deceased and fled the scene immediately. No arrests have been made and a case of murder has been opened.”
