Car maliciously damaged outside pub
A case of malicious damage to property was reported on 11 October. A woman left a Kyalami bar at about midnight to find that someone had run a key along the side of her car, causing an estimated R15 000 in damages. Although no arrests have been made, the woman believes that another patron at the venue that night is to blame for the incident, as the two had been having a disagreement before the incident.
Saddles stolen from Zinnia Road business
A case of a business break-in was reported on 16 October. Horse saddles worth an estimated R120 000 were stolen from a business on Zinnia Road. The owner heard the alarm going off at about 4.10am and went to investigate and found that the door to his shop had been forced open and the safety gate was damaged. The suspects are still unknown.
