Christ Church Preparatory School and College hosted their annual assembly to announce their leaders for 2021.
The school announced that the new head girl and head boy roles would be taken up by Ncumisa Mbebe and Malik Rapetsoa respectively, while Chanté Bresler would be deputy head girl and Calem Chetty deputy head boy.
Marketing manager for the school Dawn Schmitz said, “We are extremely proud of our 2021 leadership group who will be taking on their duties during 2020 in order to allow our matric group to concentrate on their upcoming prelims and finals.”
The school’s additional leadership went to Kristen Peter who will be head of outreach, Shane Bezuidenhout, head of the student Christian association, Karjol Naidoo (head of pastoral), Vhuthuhawe Mukwevho (head of grounds), Mpho Tsotetsi (head of arts and culture) and Sfiso Ludonga (head of special events).
In an address to the new leaders, deputy head of the school Lisle Twaddle said, “In your new role as a leader, in whatever capacity it is, be the leader who enables others to do their best, be the leader who does everything in your power to remove obstacles that others may face.
“As a leader, what you put out is going to come back to you from others, multiplied. If you want others to respect you and care about you, you must respect them and care about what they do.”
Schmitz concluded, “Thank you to our outgoing leadership team, you have made your school, your teachers and your peers very proud. Your courage and commitment over this difficult year have been exemplary.”
