Christ Church achieves a 100 per cent pass rate

NOORDWYK – The matric class at Christ Church Preparatory School and College achieved stellar result in their IEB final exams with a 100 per cent pass rate.

Christ Church Preparatory School and College are proud to announce that their Class of 2020 achieved a 100 per cent pass rate with stellar results.

Principal of the school David Bell said, “The matric Class of 2020 faced challenges that no other group before has had to face. They all had to undergo the lockdown during the busiest and most stressful year of their schooling. They did a large portion of their studies online, and some of them were only able to return physically to write their assessments, due to having co-morbidities.
“I am immensely proud to announce that our Class of 2020 continued our 100 per cent pass rate. Forty-two out of the 44 students gained university entrance passes. A huge congratulations to every student, their families and all the teachers who taught them over the years.”

The top learners in the matric class are Paballo Mofokeng and Karabo Mafatle who both achieved an incredible seven distinctions. Boipelo Monareng achieved a stellar five distinctions while Tshiamo Modise and Neo Izunobi both achieved four distinctions.

Bell concluded, “Mention must be made of the life orientation department who obtained 14 As, the mathematics departments obtained 12 As and the IsiZulu and drama departments, where more than 40 per cent of the learners opting to take those subject, obtained As.”
