Daily Bread celebrates Mother’s Day with mothers from underprivileged communities
FOURWAYS– Daily Bread founder, Charmaine McGinley said mothers and women in general deserve to be celebrated for their efforts in keeping homes warm.
Local non-profit organisation Daily Bread hosted a Mother’s Day event to celebrate mothers from disadvantaged communities.
On 7 May, Mothers from disadvantaged communities and informal settlements were spoiled with cake and food hampers to enjoy with their families.

Daily Bread founder, Charmaine McGinley said mothers and women in general deserved to be celebrated for their efforts in keeping homes warm.
“It’s a known reality that a home without a woman is not complete. Mothers and women, in general, are the pillars of society,” she added.

“They keep our homes warm and work extremely hard to ensure that their children receive the best they can afford. Today we wanted to say thank you to all mothers for their magnificent job in society,”
McGinley thanked the sponsors and donors for their support and donations in the past 13 years.
“We are very grateful and thankful for donations we’ve received from different organisations and individuals.”
She concluded, “We urge them to continue supporting us in our efforts to feed the needy. They can bring their donations to our new charity shop at Leaping Frog Shopping Centre from Monday to Saturday.”
