Suspect arrested in Tembisa with stolen vehicle from Rabie Ridge
Following information, EMPD proceeded to a house in Emfhulenit where they found a stolen car. A man on the property was then immediately handcuffed and taken to Tembisa South Police Station, where he is facing charges of possession of a suspected stolen vehicle.
The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) recently recovered a stolen vehicle in Tembisa with a Rabie Ridge Police case number.

According to the EMPD statement: on February 20, at 14:45, the EMPD community liaison unit (CLU) officer, arrested a male suspect in Tembisa, “following information from a reliable source about an individual in possession of a suspicious white Ford bakkie in their yard. Officers acted on the information and proceeded to a residence in Emfhulenit, where the said vehicle was spotted in the yard.”

A 38-year-old man was found in the vicinity and officers proceeded to interview him. Officers also proceeded to test the vehicle, which came back positive as stolen with a Rabie Ridge case number. “The suspect was immediately handcuffed and taken to Tembisa South Police Station. He is facing charges of possession of a suspected stolen vehicle. He is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.”
