He said two formal letters were addressed to ward councillor Angelinah ‘Angie’ Mphaho on August 1 and August 19 this year outlining urgent infrastructure, safety, and land-use concerns.

“To date, no acknowledgement or response has been received from the councillor’s office. Our initial correspondence highlighted a wide range of community challenges, including: severely deteriorated roads, failing or absent street lighting and electricity infrastructure, inconsistent waste collection and cleaning of public areas, proliferation of illegal developments, unmanaged vagrancy, missing or broken road signage and traffic safety infrastructure, and ongoing land invasions in several strategic locations,” said Panaino.

He added their follow-up letter requested a response, clarity on any action plans, and a meeting with the councillor to work collaboratively toward solutions.

Ward 110 councillor Mphaho was contacted by the publication but said that she was unwell.

“ I am not well at the moment. I will respond to you as soon as I get better,” said Mphaho.
