Region A expands database to reach a wider community

Region A uses an email database to send regular updates on stakeholder invitations, planned power and water outages, road closures etc.

The Group Citizen Relationship and Urban Management (Crum) of Region A of the City of Johannesburg is updating its database and requires public assistance.

Pierre Nel, head of Region A Crum said, “It is our duty or job to keep the Region A community informed of the city’s policies, initiatives, plans, projects and programmes.”

The database includes ratepayers’ associations, business parks, shopping centres and any stakeholder who may have an interest in the affairs of Region A.

These stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the city’s events such as the annual Community-Based Planning and Integrated Development Planning (IDP), rates and taxes and ad hoc sessions on by-laws to name a few.

Region A consists of the area east of Malibongwe Drive, through Fourways, Paulshof, Lonehill, Diepsloot, Kyalami, Midrand, and Rabie Ridge to Ivory Park.

“If you are part of a local business, the managing agent for a residential or business complex, shopping centre or any stakeholder or organisation that can benefit from our regular email updates, please send your contact details to Mary Morwaswi at marymorwa@joburg.org.za,” said Nel.
