Curro Clayville hosts successful community event and launches ECD workshop series

Each session will include detailed training, hands-on activities and opportunities for networking and collaboration.

Curro Clayville proudly hosted a community event focused on giving back, welcoming an impressive 300 attendees on March 1.

The event marked the launch of a six-month short course aimed at enhancing Early Childhood Development (ECD) skills and expertise.

Held at the school hall, the event was a resounding success. Attendees were introduced to the fundamentals of ECD training through an engaging workshop led by ECD specialist Janet Beyrooti.

The session provided valuable insights and practical knowledge, setting the stage for the upcoming series.

John Bissett, executive head of the school, said the launch was a success, receiving excellent feedback from participants and highlighting the importance of collaboration in ensuring the growth and development of young learners within the community.

“This partnership aims to uplift and empower ECD educators by providing valuable training at no cost,” Bissett explained. “Through this initiative, educators are equipped with essential skills and knowledge, ultimately benefitting the children in their care. The programme presents a significant opportunity for ECD schools to enhance their teaching methods, ensuring a strong foundation for early learning.”

Participants can look forward to a series of comprehensive workshops covering various aspects of ECD. Each session will include detailed training, hands-on activities and opportunities for networking and collaboration. The series is designed to equip attendees with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in early childhood education.

Moreover, attendees were encouraged to register for the upcoming workshops. Those who complete all sessions will receive a certificate of completion, recognising their dedication to enhancing their ECD expertise.
