2 Acts House of Education athletes achieve success at the Midrand School Athletics Cluster
Acts House of Education proud of two athletes' recent achievements.
Acts House of Education takes great pride in recognising the remarkable accomplishments of two of its exceptional athletes.
Sbusiso Mchunu and Xanthe Cindi distinguished themselves at the recent athletics cluster meeting held at Midrand High.
Sbusiso exhibited remarkable speed and tenacity, achieving a gold medal in the 100m sprint and a silver in the 200m sprint.

In response to his exceptional performance at the athletics cluster meeting, he expressed satisfaction with his accomplishment, noting: “I was pleased with my results as I had dedicated significant effort to my training, and surpassed my previous distance from last year. As I look forward to 2026, my goal is to improve further and secure one of the top two positions to qualify for the Gauteng Athletics Championship.”
In parallel, Xanthe showcased her extraordinary skills in the high jump, securing a silver medal. Her commitment and diligence has brought honour to the institution.

Xanthe’s success continued beyond the cluster level as she went on to claim another silver medal at the district championship. Her outstanding performance has earned her a place at the esteemed Gauteng Athletics Championship, where she will represent the school on a larger platform.
In consideration of her qualification for the championship, Xanthe expressed her feelings by stating: “I was taken aback, yet immensely thrilled. As I prepare for the significant event in March, I am resolute in my commitment to perform at my highest level. I am focused and intent on securing my Provincial Colours. My goals are clear, and I am mentally equipped for this victory.”
