New Jerusalem Children’s Home in need of donations to finish building classrooms

The home has eight classrooms and started with the construction of an additional three to accommodate its Grade 11 and 12 learners.

New Jerusalem Children’s Home needs help to build additional classrooms on its premises.

The home is a non-profit organisation that provides shelter for 120 children who have been abandoned, abused or traumatised.

The home has eight classrooms and started with the construction of an additional three to accommodate its Grade 11 and 12 learners.

However, the home has run out of funds to complete the tiling and the ceilings of the classrooms.

The marketing manager of the home Hopkins Kaira said, “As a non-profit organisation, we are kindly appealing to companies or even individuals to assist our home to complete this project for our kids.”

One of their learners is currently studying in Russia and the organisation wants to provide the same opportunities to the other learners. The home is also looking forward to having its first matriculants in 2026.
