Pothole-ridden President Park streets and roads revamped

JRA’s infrastructure development HOD said the three streets will cost the agency R4.9m.

Three pothole-plagued President Park roads in Midrand are currently being tarred and resurfaced.

This is being carried out by the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA).

Fouché Street, which is completed and Pretorius Street, nearing completion, were a headache to drive on.

This time, the agency not only patched potholes but also tarred and resurfaced the roads.

Once completed, JRA’s infrastructure development HoD Kwazelela Mcetywa said President Road will be next.

Mcetwya said the resurfacing of all roads is expected to finish on June 30.

“Resurfacing started on June 10 with a budget of R4.9m. After Pretorius Road, we are planning to resurface President Road next,” said Mcetywa.
