Car catches fire on the N1 North

The car is believed to have caught fire, resulting in the closure of some lanes to allow firefighters to extinguish the flames.

Motorists are urged to avoid the N1 North between Buccleuch Interchange and Allandale Road.

This is after a vehicle caught fire in the Waterfall area around 10:50 today (October 16).

It is not yet clear what kind of car it is, the well-being of the driver, and possibly, other occupants.
