Even before kick-off, fans confidently shared score predictions, with many backing Bafana Bafana for a 1-0 or 2-1 victory.
Before the match started, fan Viwe Mabongo said he was hoping for a win following the team’s loss in their previous match.

One of the organisers of the live screening event, Neo Moeng, also shared his thoughts ahead of the game.
“Today I’m looking for a straight win because even a draw won’t do us justice. We don’t know what the score will be in our final match against South Korea. So, a win today will at least leave us with some comfort before the last match.”
At the beginning of the live screening event, attendees stood up to sing the national anthem as a way of showing continued support for the national team.

Football lovers continue to show unwavering support for Bafana Bafana by gathering together, proving that even though they cannot be at the stadium physically, they are still behind the team.
One of the organisers of the event, Neo Moeng, shared his hopes for the match.
“They need to win at all costs. I don’t know what they need to do, but they need to win. They are a brilliant group of players, and they haven’t shown us the quality they have. I think it’s time they show the rest of the world what they are capable of.”

In the match, the Czech Republic opened the scoring, but Bafana Bafana rallied in the second half and earned a penalty to equalise and secured 1-1 draw.
Fan, Alex Mushidzhi, said he is proud of the team after this outcome, even though it was not a win, but it was something to at least go into the last match with.
