TRAFFIC ADVISORY: 3 marches to cause traffic in Midrand and Joburg CBD today and tomorrow

Motorists are urged to plan as three approved marches set for June 29 and 30 are expected to cause significant traffic disruptions in Johannesburg CBD, Hillbrow and Glen Austin, Midrand, with major delays anticipated between 07:00 and 16:00.

Motorists and commuters are advised to expect significant traffic disruptions on June 29 and June 30 due to three approved marches taking place in Johannesburg.

The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) has confirmed that the marches will take place simultaneously in the Johannesburg inner city and Hillbrow areas, as well as in Glen Austin in Midrand.

Heavy deployments of law enforcement agencies, including JMPD and SAPS Public Order Policing, will be in place across the affected areas to monitor the marches, manage traffic flow and ensure public safety.

Authorities have warned that major delays are expected between 07:00 and 16:00, particularly along key routes leading through the inner city and surrounding areas.
