A call for junior cricketers

MIDRAND - Midrand Cricket Club’s U13 team took to the field for the first time in their season against a well-drilled Caxton Khosa.

However, it would not be the start the side would have hoped for. The Midrand side won the toss and elected to bat. The side soon found out that this match would be a challenge, as they were bowled out for 22 runs in 13 overs.

The youngsters gave it their all in defending the small total and earned two Caxton Khosa wickets before the visitors reached the target.

The club is calling on all U13 players to join their juniors’ programme. Children in the programme will participate in the Gauteng Cricket Board’s junior competitions which will run until March.
