Local foundation sends love, safety and encouragement to families this festive season

Truth and Hope Foundation reminds residents that brighter days and new opportunities lie ahead in 2026.

As communities across the country wind down for the festive season, Rabie Ridge-based non-profit organisation, Truth and Hope Foundation, has wished all South Africans a peaceful and joyful holiday period.

Founder and president Sydwell Ramakokovhu said the end of the year offers a moment to reflect on progress made, lives touched, and the goals that lie ahead. “We wish everyone a blissful, peaceful, and restful festive season,” said Ramakokovhu. “This was a year of meeting new people, forming strong partnerships, and seeing real growth in our athletes and our organisation.”

The foundation saw significant milestones in 2025 across both soccer and tennis. Its football arm, Dubula Stars United FC, began the year with player trials that led to one standout selection. The team went on to win league titles in both the U13 and U17 divisions, fulfilling the promise they made at the start of the season.

On the tennis courts, the foundation’s Tsa Kasi Tennis Team competed in the Tennis Mbokodos Tournament at Ellis Park, gaining valuable competitive experience.

A highlight of the year came from U14 player and team captain, Patience Zulu, who reached the finals of the Gauteng Games and earned a bronze medal, a moment Ramakokovhu describes as “a proud achievement for the entire organisation.”

Ramakokovhu also acknowledged the year’s challenges. One personal setback was not being able to complete his D-Licence coaching qualification, something he says has motivated him to return stronger. “Every challenge teaches us something. We grow wiser and more resilient from each step we take,” he said.

Looking ahead to 2026, the foundation has ambitious plans for the upcoming year. These include expanding the Tsa Kasi Tennis Team to cater for players aged 18 to 25, and securing sponsorships for both soccer and tennis development programmes.

Moreover, it aims to host new soccer trials for age groups U9, U11, and U13; compete in Tennis South Africa national events; work towards placement in the Gauteng Development League; and obtain a team transport vehicle to support match and tournament travel.

Ramakokovhu thanked every parent, coach, donor, and supporter who contributed to the foundation’s success this year.

“To everyone out there, we know life is not always easy, but let’s keep hope alive. Be safe and look after one another. Merry Christmas, and may 2026 bring new opportunities, growth in sport, and progress in our lives… We love you, and 2026, here we come.”
