The opening day started with children testing their shooting skills, with parents joining in on the fun and taking photos. The activation created an energetic atmosphere filled with cheering, laughter and friendly competition.

One of the highlights of the opening was the presence of former Bafana Bafana player Morgan Gould, who joined the celebrations and shared in the excitement with the attendees.

His presence added to the excitement as fans had the opportunity to see and engage with one of South Africa’s football legends. The little ones enjoyed playing with Gould and taking photos.

Gould spoke about his contribution to the day.

“This is a great space since it’s football season and World Cup fever is on, I mean, everyone wants to be a part of football, and they want to see themselves playing football, so this is a good place for that.

“I’m also just here to share the day with the kids because I was once upon a time a kid as well, and these are the types of things that I remember that I also got inspired by, so if I can inspire one kid, I think I would have done my job in football,” added Gould.
