DJ keeps his passion close

MIDRAND – Sifiso Ngoma known as Pedabotic said his parents embedded his love for music in him.

DJ Pedabotic also known as Sifiso Ngoma, shared his journey as a DJ and music producer.

The Ivory Park-born star continues to keep crowds entertained. Ngoma said he had always had a love for music as it was something which was embedded in him by his parents. “My mom is a singer by profession and my dad always collected music, he had a big suitcase full of cassettes and another one with vinyls,” he said.

He added that being exposed to music made him fall in love with it even more. “As I grew up I started my own collection of music. I would record all my favourite songs onto empty cassettes every weekend during my favourite shows on the radio and play them during family gatherings, which is how I started deejaying.”

Ngoma said even though he was steadily thriving it was hard at the beginning. “It was hard getting opportunities as an upcoming young DJ and I think the DJs who were in the game when I started never believed that as young as I was, I would deliver a great job.”

He added that the progress he had made since the beginning of his career motivated him a lot. “I look back and realise that I have come a long way, every challenge was a fight to be where I am and also the goals I have set for myself as an artist keep me going

“Right now I have a lot of things in the pipeline under the brand Pedabotic. Some of the things I’m currently working on is my single that will be released before the end of the year. My team and I are also working on a clothing brand which will be introduced to the people very soon.”
