Sandile ‘Big Dreamz’ Lephondo honours his dreams

MIDRAND – The Midrand based producer, sound engineer, writer, rapper, and MC, dropped his new music on his 37th birthday, celebrating himself as the hard-working musician that he is.

Sandile Lephondo, better known as Big Dreamz, dropped his new work of art on 31 May, a 30-track album titled Born A Star.

The Midrand-based producer, sound engineer, writer, rapper and MC, dropped his new music on his 37th birthday, celebrating himself as the hard-working musician that he is.

Referencing his age, Lephondo said the number 37 in numerology meant ‘self determined and creative’ and he considered this to be a true definition of who he was as an artist.

“This project has taken a lot out of me, I have pushed myself musically and opened up more than I ever have before. This project gives listeners an exclusive tour into who I am or rather who the husky-voiced rapper is.

“It is layered with truth, hurt, laughter, fun, and perseverance. What is meant to be a birthday gift to myself is now also like a gift to the listener and the world at large. In these uncertain times, music will always bring us together,” he added.

Some of the artists who are featured on his new album include Afrotraction, Zamo, and Kallo among other talented artists.

The rapper said this project was a reminder to everyone to always bet on themselves.
