TS Galaxy aim to shoot down the Dube Birds
Mpumalanga Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaigners, TS Galaxy, will return to the field on Saturday November 21, when they take on the on-form Moroka Swallows.
Galaxy, the province’s only representative in the country’s elite league, will travel to Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto with their heads held high following their impressive run since the league’s new season kicked off in October. Tim Sukazi’s troops fought to a one-all draw in their opener against Limpopo-based Tshakhuma FC on October 25. They went on to register their first victory of the season when they beat Amazulu FC 1-0 at Mbombela Stadium on October 28.

Galaxy did the unthinkable when they proved to the rest of the country that they are not pushovers when they held Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs to a goalless stalemate on November 4 at FNB Stadium.
They are currently safely sited on position seven on the table with five points. As they travel to Dobsonville Stadium, Galaxy know very well that they are facing stubborn enemies, Moroka Swallows, who are yet to lose a game. Swallows are newcomers and are currently occupying third position on the table standings with seven points. Having registered two wins and a draw, this team seem to be soaring high. Could Galaxy be the first team to clip the wings of the Dube Birds?

“Yes, it is possible. The way the team have been playing is marvellous. We have travelled to Limpopo, Vhenda and managed to steal a vital point. We are not shy in front of the goals as you would have seen in all the games we have played so far. We were able to score first. I believe we have what it takes to stop Swallows,” said Galaxy’s spokesperson, Mini Mkhize. He said the break has given the team ample time to work on critical areas, such as defence and strike force. “The winning mentality is visible in the camp. You can see the boys are hungry for success,” Mkhize said.
