DA councillor to appear in court for shoplifiting
It is alleged that the councillor was caught stealing sweets at a shopping centre in Sabie on Friday.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Leonard Hlathi confirmed that the accused was arrested and will appear at the Sabie Magistrate’s Court today.
His arrest comes after he was caught stealing when members of the Democratic Alliance were making their way to Mbombela for a march. He is currently out on R300,00 bail and his case is being investigated.
