Three men arrested for murder and theft out of motor vehicle

They were arrested along the airport road while driving a rented vehicle from the airport.

WHITE RIVER – Police arrested two men in connection with theft out of a motor vehicle. According to Sgt Cynthia Mbokodo, spokesperson for the local police, the suspects were found in possession of a device used to unlock vehicles. They will appear before the White River Magistrate’s Court today.

Mbokodo added that a farmer was arrested after he allegedly stabbed a pedestrian to death. “The farmer claimed the pedestrian threw stones at his vehicle while he was driving along the White River- Brondal road on Friday morning. He then stopped his vehicle and a fight ensued, that was when he ended up stabbing him with a sharp object” she said. The victim died on the spot. The farmer will also appear in the same magistrate’s court today.
