Police searching for vigilantes after the killing of two men

Police are still searching for more suspect who were involved in the murder of the two men.

MBOMBELA – The police in Pienaar have arrested a 37-year-old man after the death of two men aged 24 and 29. There are also other suspects that the police are searching for in connection to the murder.

According to police information, on December 31 two victims were picked up from a section called Etinkomeni in Msogwaba and taken to a secluded area where they were severely assaulted till death. Their bodies were abandoned in the same area.

“It is further reported that the murder stems from developments where the arrested suspect’s house was broken into between the evening of December 30. The suspect and his friends then conducted their own investigation. As a result of  unauthorised investigation led them to the two victims,” said the police.

The police were alerted by passers-by who spotted the bodies and an investigation was launched which pointed to the suspect and his accomplices. It was during swift action by police that enabled them to arrest the suspect yesterday afternoon while more arrests are imminent.
