Auto tech foundation awards
Winners were awarded with laptops, printers, flat screen-TVs.

AutoTech Foundation held its annual awards at the Lowveld Botanical Garden on Saturday whereby they welcomed teachers and schools from Mpumalanga who are concerned about the environment. According to Philile Mbatha, a representative from the Department of Education, it is important to appreciate people who look after our environment “We need people like these teachers, who will educate young children and teach them the importance of our environment.” she said.
She added that to save the future generation we need to save our environment first and we need to give them credit as they are doing a very important job for the community and the whole nation.
Winners were awarded with laptops, printers, flat screen-TVs. The best teacher award went to Irene Chiloane from Londinda primary school in Mkhuhlu, who said she didn’t think she was going to win and would receive the award. “I know my children will be very happy about this award, this is for them.”
“They take it very seriously to protect the environment and work hard every day to make sure it is clean and safe to live in. The best school award also went to Londinda Primary School and the principal Ms Joana Mabuza said through hard work and determination they knew they deserved to take the title. “We feel great and we are excited to come first. It shows that we care and are very determined to bring change to our environment.” She added that this award is not only for them as a school but for the whole community because they helped and also benefited from this programme. Another award went to Khulile Nyathikazo for best CI, who went home with a laptop and a printer.
