Department motivates learners

''These trial examinations are very serious because that’s where you are able to rate or check whether you are ready for the final exams that will kick-start next month,'' said Goba.

BUSHBUCKRIDGE – Learners from Lamulelani Secondary and Hlulani Primary School at Marite, were over the moon when they were visited by the provincial department of education’s officials.

They used the opportunity to motivate grade 12 learners at Lamulelani before the start of their trial exams. Sharing the platform with other delegates, Ms Lorainne Goba, who’s a district director at Bohlabela region, urged learners to take it very seriously. ”These trial examinations are very serious because that’s where you are able to rate or check whether you are ready for the final exams that will kick-start next month,” said Goba.

She appealed to parents, teachers and community members to support the learners. ”This is the time where we have to unite and support our children because they really need us, in order for them to have confidence. They must see that we stand behind them by giving them enough time to study. To the learners, this is the most important time of your life. It’s up to you to decide what you want to be in life. All I can say is that we are behind you grade 12 learners and your future is in your hands,” said Goba.

The spokesperson for the department Mr Jasper Zwane, indicated that they are very pleased about the state of affairs in terms of proceedings of the trial exams.
