MBOMBELA – Having performed world over and with internationally-acclaimed artists such as Alicia Keys, Shakira, K’Naan and John Legend, at the FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Concert back in 2010, the South African Music Awards female artist winner, Lira will finally jet down to the Lowveld where she is billed to wow her fans this Saturday.
Scheduled to take place at the Riverside Mall Parking, this songbird will share the stage with some of the country’s finest cream such as Moneoa, Monotone, Nomzamo, Afro Traction and many more.
These music stars, who are coming to town only for a noble cause, have since promised nothing but good music.
Music lovers will be blessed with the presence of TV celebrities such as Zizo Beda (Selimathunzi), Zolisa Xaluva who plays Jason in the SABC 1 popular soap, Generations and SABC 3 Isidingo’s Tshepo Maseko as Parsons.
According to organisers, this one-night only with these stars will form part of the official launch of the Sibusisiwe Foundation musical project, Elements of Sound, the first journey.
“Element of Sound is a community development project presented by the Sibusisiwe Foundation. During the first talent search, the genre of Jazz was pursued and after months of auditions, we identified two talents whom we took under our wings and helped them record their music.
“On Saturday, we will officially launch the new album in a form of a launch and a fundraiser for the project. The newly discovered talent will also get the chance to share the stage with other musical heavyweights, while at the same time showcasing their talents,” said Sibusiso Sithole.
He said fundraising will be done by charging an entrance fee of R190 and R600 VIP tickets.
“Donation of R190 and R600 (inclusive of 1 meal, 2 bottles of wines, EOS CD and goody bag) will be charged for entrance. This is only for a good cause,” said Sithole.
