Emhlangeni Sports Academy establishing a relationship with communities

A school tournament has been launched at Kabokweni .

KABOKWENI- The launch of the Eva Manda soccer tournament was held at the Cargo
Lounge on Thursday and the first games will take place on Monday.
The
tournament is to honor and appreciate his mother, Eva Manda who was a teacher,
nurse, businesswoman, granny to all the children in the community and who was
also spreading the importance of education in the lowveld.
The schools
tournament will be contested for by 16 schools in the Kabokweni area. The
tournament will be a way of instilling discipline in schools.
“Our emphasis
is not only on the soccer players who will be playing in this tournament, but
the whole school,” said Macbeth Ncongwane, founder of this tournament. He added
that as Ncongwane Attorneys, they want to bring the culture of discipline in
schools and respect, and by doing so, they hope all schools will produce the
best results at the end of the year. This initiative forms a small part whereby
Ncongwane Attorneys and Emhlangeni Sports Academy will be establishing a
relationship with the community to broaden its community relationship.
With
this tournament they want to see a youth that propels itself to greater things,
adulthood, education, discipline and achievements in their lives. “I know it
will be a difficult task on these players, but by engaging sports, we will
balance education and lifestyle at the same time,” he said.
Ncongwane has
urged all businessmen in the province to support sports in their districts and
also urged parents to support their children in everything they do whether small
or big. Finalists of the tournament will win R3 000 in cash. Champions will walk
away with a trophy and soccer kit and runner-up will walk away with R1 500.
First games of the tournament will be opened by Zikode vs Guduza.
Other
fixtures are as follows: Khutsalani vs Mtungwa, Vulindlela vs Siligane, Jacob
Mdluli vs Ngodini High, Phatfwa vs Mhlume, Emtfonjeni vs Khumbula, Mbuyane vs
Sbhulo and Hlanganani vs Fundinjobo.
