Aces host Pirates at Mbombela stadium

The Buccaneers will be coming to this game looking to redeem themselves.

Mpumalanga Black Aces and the Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates will renew their rivalry when they meet in the Telkom Knockout Cup at the 2010 Soccer World Cup stadium, Mbombela tomorrow afternoon.

kick-off at 19h30.

After a tough weekend, where they played to a goalless draw against the Tunisian giants, Esperance FC, the Buccaneers will be coming to this game looking to redeem themselves.

It will however, not going to be an easy ride as the hosts, Black Aces have been playing good competitive football lately.

Pirates’ skipper, Lucky Lekgwati who was rested on Saturday said he expected a tough game against Aces.

Pirates have also been playing good football, especially in the African Champions League, but haven’t found their footing in domestic affairs as they have conceded against minors.

Aces’ spokesman, Gordon Masondo said that his team need not lose focus for the full 90 minutes as previously witnessed in their last two outings, where they conceded late goals.

“The boys have proven that they can score goals, all they need to do now is stop conceding and we will start winning games, including tomorrow’s game,” said Masondo.
