Aspiring body builders are invited to join the sports that will assist them on how to keep their bodies healthy.

Bodybuilding sports is on the rise in the province even though it is considered an expensive sport.

It’s not only about enjoying, but it is also about teaching morals and discipline to youngsters.

Mpumalanga Mirror learned that some of them craft a career out of this sport, as some pursue their career in modelling and take part in Mr University competitions.

In an exclusive interview with one of our very own bodybuilders, Theo Ndlovu who was born and bred in KaBokweni, he shared lots of ideas which can cause people to live a good life and pave a way to success for people, “I started to fall in love with this sport at an early age. It’s not only helping me by keeping me healthy, it also gives me an opportunity to learn morals and discipline. Working as an individual is very challenging because I want to move to another level, but due to a lack of sponsorship it’s not going to be possible.”

He says that he wants to do fitness modelling and even take part in the Mr Fitness competition that is normally held in Cape Town and Pretoria. ”I don’t regret being a bodybuilder because I learn something new every day. In order to survive in this type of activity, you need to be focussed and able to stand your ground since you are not allowed to take alcohol and cigarettes as it will affect you negatively,” said Ndlovu.

He concluded by saying, “If there are people who are willing to join this type of sport, I am willing to assist them in terms of offering them training and guiding them on how to keep their bodies healthy.”
