Traffic officer kills ANCYL member

BARBERTON – In a bizarre occurrence, a traffic officer has shot and killed a

 

well- known young political activist, Mr Bheki Makhathini who was a member of

 

the ANCYL in the area.

 

It’s allegedly believed that the traffic officer

 

decided to use his gun as its alleged that the Makhathini with his friends were

 

trying to block the road when the traffic officer with his colleagues wanted to

 

pass by with their vehicle.

 

The spokesperson of the local police station’,

 

Constable Tutu Nkosi said: “I confirm the incident, but we are still busy with

 

the investigation at this stage. According to the traffic officer, he said the

 

man was walking with his friends on the road and they tried to close the road

 

when he tried to talk with them, they were not co-operating and the deceased,

 

with his friends, tried to attack him. “She went on and stated that the traffic

 

officer is currently charged with murder as she went on “At first, he was

 

charged with a case of attempted murder and now he is facing a case of murder as

 

we learnt that the man died as he was shot,” she concluded.
