IEC receives complaint
This comes after Mr Khomotso Maurice Nonyane lodged a complaint to IEC.

SABIE – Independent candidates who were part of the by-elections held two weeks ago at Thaba Chweu Local Municipality (TCM) are not happy with the results released by IEC to the public.
This comes after Mr Khomotso Maurice Nonyane lodged a complaint to IEC.
The resignation of their former Ward 6 councillor, Mr Paul Mokgosinyome, necessitated the by-election.
Nonyane alleges that on the day of the by-elections the ANC used tactics which in his view were not in keeping with the Electoral Act.
According to Nonyane, at the Memezile voting station, the scanner permitted only 496 votes but it showed that 497 ballot papers were used. At the Ekuthuleni voting station, one voter, after casting his vote approached the IEC staff and told them he had voted for the wrong candidate and requested another ballot paper so that he could vote again. He said after having realised shortfalls of the elections, he and the other voter went to report the matter.
The IEC provincial spokesman, Mr Sibusiso Nkosi, confirmed they had received the complaint, “We are currently busy with investigations, and the matter has been forwarded to our CEO.”
